“Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton receives a Christmas dinner from J. Folk and Associates and the Westin Hotel”
Janet Folk bought a Christmas dinner for 10 people from the Westin Hotel at a Charity auction and decided to donate that dinner to Ronald McDonald House so the residents that had to be there on Christmas Day would have a nice meal. She then asked the Westin to match this dinner and they did! So everyone in at the Ronald McDonald House had a great Christmas meal together!
Ronald McDonald House provides an affordable home- away-from – home for families who have to come to Edmonton with their sick children for medical treatment.
At $12 a night, they hope to reduce the financial burden that tend to come up with long term illness.

Calder School Nutrition Program
National Home Warranty, together with J.Folk & Associates is a proud sponsor of a school nutrition program at Calder School in Edmonton. This school covers Kindergarten to Grade 6. The student body has a high component of ESL students. Students come from working families striving to provide education for their children. The Calder School has successfully partnered with the Edmonton Glenora Rotary Club to provide them with computer labs, reading workshops and with National’s sponsorship, daily nutritional breaks. National recognizes that hungry children can’t concentrate and that their learning, and their life long potential could be compromised.
This sponsorship is important to the students, to the community, and very rewarding for the management and staff of National Home Warranty Program and J. Folk.
More than 17,000 students annually attend Kwantlen campuses in Surrey, Richmond and Langley. A new campus, the Cloverdale Trades and Technology Centre, opens early 2007 and significant expansion is occurring at the Surrey Campus over the next two years.
